Touchstone Farm Horses
Amber is out of Dancin On Thin Ice (a lovely light palomino mare I own who is on lease in NC) and by Watch Tyree Jack (an athletic, well-bred Two Eyed Jack stallion). I bought her dam already bred because I love Two Eyed Jack foals and wanted my own. She is a spunk and has been alpha female since she was born. She's independent, willing, and a supreme athlete. She's really begun to fill out and is now trail riding all over the state of Virginia, checking cattle, and beginning to think about some team penning practices.

"Vista" is a wonderful and unique breed of horse: Azteca (Andalusian/QH) mare and very easy going, easy keeper and an easy ride. Has had previous dressage training with the Pennyslvania Riding Academy. Easy walk, trot, canter. Western, bareback, or english! Mare of all talents. She's use to dogs, tractors, ect and rides out alone or in groups. Very willing, bold and brave, not spooky. Walk to canter transitions, flying lead changes. Great on the flat or over fences.Very easy to trailer in all trailers, goes quietly to shows, offers a lead change, and is a simple and comfortable ride. MORE PICTURES

Sonny was the first horse to come to Touchstone Farm. He is a very special horse and has lots of personality. He's always the one to give the pony rides at the family reunions at our farm, he's always 'Old Faithful' for the beginner who wants to ride a horse, he's taught many friends and family here. He was recently leased out and worked with a Therapeutic Riding Center south of Roanoke, Tackfully Teamed in hopes of fulfilling the dreams of other riders who need great horses like him. He is also a grandson of the famous SONNY DEE BAR!
Sadly passed away 9/28/2009. Will be greatly missed here on the farm by all who knew him.
King is well...King. He is a big, beautiful palomino gelding, he's always the talk of the crowd when he moves. He runs and plays like a stallion, high-stepping, prancing, rearing, bucking, just enjoying the day. He had a very rough start and I had to go back before basic and redo everything in order to get him to trust enough to be friends, much less a riding partner. We worked in the roundpen for over a year before he learned to truly trust me as a leader; the time and effort I spent working with him has really paid off. He is finally a saddle horse for myself, and now we are working on more advanced riding skills. We have started showing locally and are always in the ribbons. He's also an excellent mountain trail horse and one of the best foal baby-sitters you could ask for.

Evee is a wonderfully sweet Thoroughbred mare, retired off the track several years ago. Has been trail ridden the past year and loves the adventure. Will lead, follow, or ride in the middle. Hauls well and loads in ramp or step up trailers, ties quietly with no issues. Recently started back in the arena and over fences and has schooled some cross country. Lots of talent with this mare, kind quiet eye and has an amazing canter. Price will increase with more training and shows. She's quickly becoming a well educated mare. Smooth w/t/c with flying lead changes and jumping courses.
